In the 1980s Chuck Connelly was recognized as a key figure among the New York-based Neo-expressionist painters. Chuck Connelly Into the Light captures Connelly in his essence: manically painting in his deteriorating, claustrophobic home packed with more than 5,000 original works — and trying to overcome a lifetime of failures, regrets, and missed opportunities.
