Let’s All Go to the Lobby: The Story of Filmack Studios

· 39 min·

Robbie Mack, the third-generation owner of Filmack Studios, takes us behind the scenes of the world’s oldest producer and distributor of non-coming-attractions movie trailers. From its humble beginnings in Chicago, Filmack became a beloved part of American popular culture, creating iconic theater spots like Let’s All Go to the Lobby and the dancing hot dog featured in Grease. Through archival footage, interviews, and firsthand stories, the documentary explores Filmack’s remarkable legacy and its struggle to adapt as the digital revolution transformed the movie-theater industry in the 1990s and 2000s.
