The story of Charles Byrne, the 18th-century "Irish Giant" from what is now Northern Ireland. His extraordinary height made him a celebrity in London. He feared that anatomists would take his body after death and asked to be buried at sea, but his skeleton was acquired by the surgeon John Hunter and put on display. The film follows Byrne's life, the science behind his condition, and the questions his remains still raise.
