The Lost Mariachis

2026· 80 min· Documentary

Blending road movie, archival footage, and essayistic elements, this documentary chronicles a filmmaker's journey through the Balkans in search of the last Yu-Mex singers. Through a lost film by Emilio "El Indio" Fernández, this bittersweet story takes a playful approach in exploring how cinema and music migrate and are reinterpreted in distant contexts.
